STC SEEKS TENNIS COACH

January 25th, 2025.

Seaford Town Council is looking for a tennis coach to provide coaching sessions at The Salts, with the additional option to take on the operation and management of the site should they wish to.

The three new full-sized courts, which were opened in May 2021, benefit from automated floodlights and gate access, which work in conjunction with ClubSpark, an award-winning online sport management system ensuring an easy-to-use process for booking the courts.

The new courts have been made possible thanks to funding from Community Infrastructure Levy funds from Lewes District Council, the Lawn Tennis Association, Sport England, and Seaford Town Council.

The coaching opportunity now available, with an anticipated springtime start, is being offered as two different types of contract – a Coach model or Coach and Operator model.

Under the Coach model, the successful coaching provider would be entitled to use the courts for their coaching service, but the Town Council would remain responsible for delivering all other tennis court activities and operations.

Under the Coach and Operator model, the successful tennis business provider would be charged an annual rental fee for exclusive rights to operate their coaching business on site and provide community tennis.

Through either model, the Town Council is looking to engage the right candidate to build a successful and thriving community tennis facility that offers family membership as well as pay and play sessions, being affordable for families and inclusive for all.

The full tender packs for both opportunities and details of the information required to submit a tender application can be found on the Town Council’s website at www.seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk/contracts-and-tenders

Tender applications are to be emailed to tenders@seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk detailing the information set out in the full job pack, or posted to Seaford Town Council, 37 Church Street, Seaford, East Sussex, BN25 1HG, by 5.00pm on Friday the 3rd of March 2023.
