Susan Carroll, managing director of an international leadership consultancy, is Newhaven RNLI’s new volunteer Lifeboat Management Group (LMG) Chair. Susan will provide local leadership to ensure all matters relating to the RNLI in Newhaven are coordinated.As LMG Chair, Susan will work with all non-operational area leads within the lifeboat station, including the press and media, fundraising, retail, visits and water safety.
Phill Corsi, Area Lifesaving Manager, said: "This role focuses strongly on the station’s community engagement. Susan brings a wealth of over thirty years’ experience leading teams towards high performance. We are thrilled to have her on board in Newhaven.
"Susan will be a pivotal leader within Newhaven’s lifeboat station community and will apply her skills learned as executive coach, delivering complex change and innovation with companies across multiple industries around the world."
Susan explained: ‘This role gives me the opportunity to be part of a team within a highly respected organisation, using my communication skills to build relationships within the local community and to build on the great work of One team, One crew at Newhaven RNLI.
So far this year, Newhaven RNLI has launched on 46 service calls to people in trouble on the water, aiding 23 people and accredited with 6 lives saved.
