Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare is inviting people interested in volunteering to drop into its Newhaven warehouse between Monday the 21st and Friday the 25th of September to find out more about new volunteering opportunities.

The informal sessions will give prospective volunteers the chance to meet the team, learn about the roles available and find out how they can support Raystede’s retail work behind the scenes.

The Newhaven warehouse is part of Raystede’s retail operation, which helps support the charity’s work caring for animals. Volunteers at the warehouse contribute to the processing, sorting and distribution of donated goods.

Raystede is currently looking to fill a number of roles, including sorting and organising, as well as volunteers to help with listing, packing and researching donated items ready for sale. A knowledge of Vinted would be useful for some of these activities.

The roles are based at Raystede’s Newhaven warehouse and offer:

- Monday to Friday volunteering

- 2–6 hours per week

-  Flexible shifts

- Full training provided


The roles are a great way to learn new skills and meet new people as well as helping Raystede to raise vital funds for its animal welfare work.
