FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS NOVEMBER MEETING

November 23rd, 2022.

Jim Skinner reports:

The Friends of Tide Mills held their November meeting at the weekend, very fortunately in fine winter sunshine. Fourteen of us undertook two tasks this time; our usual litter picking and, additionally, path clearance.

In terms of litter, we collected over 10 sacks of smaller items and a large quantity of much bulkier items, mainly fishing industry related, such as whelk and lobster pots, rope etc. A reflection of the run of gales experienced over the last few weeks..

The path clearance work was undertaken in the Newhaven Port Nature reserve area and the eastern section of the Vanguard Way.

All in all a very successful meeting. The next meeting is taking place on Sunday the 18th of December, between 9.00am and 11.00am. If you are interested in joining us you will be most welcome.
