FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS APRIL REPORT

April 17th, 2023.

Report by Jim Skinner:

Fifteen members of the Friends of Tide Mills held their April meeting in close to Spring weather conditions yesterday. Only three bags of assorted rubbish were recovered this time, together with a bag of recyclable material.

There are now early signs of emerging vegetated shingle plants, especially the Sea Kale, which is always the first to show.

Just a reminder that our Ringed Plover Nesting signs for this year's breeding season are now in place. As always, we respectfully ask visitors to keep out of the signed area and, in particular, to keep dogs under close control.

Our next meeting is Sunday the 21st of May, 9.00am to 11.00am. Come and join us. You will be made most welcome to help us look out for and care for this precious open space.
