Newhaven Liberal Democrat Councillors are calling on East Sussex Highways to urgently work towards repairing the worst affected roads in and through the town.Dangerously deep potholes are rife across the town and especially on the A259 Brighton Road between Kwik Fit and the Fairway junction and on the C7 Lewes Road.
Cllr Lesley Boniface commented: "East Sussex Highways continually tell us to report potholes on their website, but there seems little point when reports are not prioritised. The current situation on the A259 is becoming dangerous, road users are struggling to avoid the worst potholes and it’s an accident waiting to happen.
“Some of the residential roads aren’t much better, including Fort Road, Court Farm Road and Newfield Road."
Councillor Jo Pettitt, (pictured), has also been busy reporting issues around the town, including on Elphick Road and Powell Gardens.
