TWINKLE TOES RAISE FUNDS FOR TRANSPORT

November 10th, 2017.

A charity tea-dance, held last month, raised £500 which was split between the Hillcrest Community Centre, Newhaven, where the dance took place, and CTLA Community Transport, the local transport charity that reduces isolation and loneliness by providing accessible journeys.

70 dancers enjoyed tuition from the acclaimed dance teacher, Margaret Cantell of Studio Tempo, and refreshments were provided by Peter and Joan Rhodes of the Hillcrest Centre.

The afternoon was organised by Steve Saunders and Sharon Bewley, the former Mayor and Mayoress of Newhaven, who thanked the volunteers and dancers for raising funds for two vital community charities.

Another tea-dance will be organised for the New Year and the proceeds will again support local charities.
