SUPER SOFIA DONATES HAIR TO CHARITY

November 27th, 2021.

Eight-year-old Sofia Virgo from Seaford made valuable use of her inset day yesterday, Friday the 26th of November, by going to Hucklebury Hair Salon and losing 31cm of her much-loved tresses.

The Annecy Primary School pupil had researched the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer and asked her mum if she could donate her own hair.

“I’m super proud,” said mum Deborah Virgo. “It was completely her own idea. We put it off for a little while to make sure she was 100 per cent sure, as it was a big change, and then made the trip to Hucklebury Hair Salon in Seaford. She followed the hair donation guidelines, and is delighted with her new look. More importantly, she has helped to provide an unwell child with a wig.”
