STC SEEKS TOY DONATIONS FOR CHRISTMAS GIFT APPEAL

November 28th, 2021.

Seaford Town Council is supporting a local Christmas appeal led by Seahaven Storehouse, often known locally as ‘the foodbank’. Donations of new gifts can be left at the offices in Church Street Monday to Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm, which will go to families in need of support that use the foodbank. These will then be distributed alongside food parcels over the Christmas period.

Cllr Mark Brown, who is actively involved with the work of Seahaven Storehouse, explained: “The Seahaven Storehouse  located in the Community Church in Vale Road offers an invaluable service by providing disadvantaged Seahaven residents with food parcels. The dedicated staff of volunteers are currently supplying approximately 100 food parcels every week. The Storehouse is now collecting suitable toys for distribution to the children of these residents so that they can also have a Very Happy Christmas.”

As well as the Town Council offices in Church Street, other collection points for toy donations are the Co-op in Princess Drive and the Community Church in Vale Road (on Thursdays only).

There will be a box left at 37 Church Street in the reception area where toys can be donated (unwrapped, please). This will remain there until the 15th of December when all toys will be collected, wrapped and distributed.
