SEAFORD CHORAL SOCIETY CONCERT

October 21st, 2019.

The Seaford Choral Society concert at Seaford Baptist Church will be opening with the exciting Magnificat by John Rutter. First performed in 1990, this exuberant and joyous work, inspired by Bach and others, is a more modern take on the traditional sacred music dedicated to Mary, Mother of Jesus.

The choir is thoroughly enjoying working on this new addition to its repertoire under the able guidance of musical director Colin Hughes. It will include a solo performance by newcomer mezzo soprano, Bethany Geoghegan.

.The second half of the concert will feature a range of favourite pieces by Fauré, César Frank, Mozart, Bruckner, Mendelssohn, Grieg, Lassus and Seaford composer Chris Whitelaw.

The date for the concert is Saturday the 30th of November at 7.30pm at Seaford Baptist Church.

Adul tickets are £10.00. Children - free. Available now from Newberry Tully Estate Agents, Church Street, Seaford, on the door, or reserve online at www.seaford-choral-society.com
