SEAFORD CHARITY RECEIVES CASH BOOST FROM TESCO

August 10th, 2020.

Local Seaford charity SeeAbility has received a £500 grant from Tesco in order support its frontline staff with PPE and to fund a special wellbeing helpline. The charity provides specialist support, accommodation and eye care help for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss and supports fifteen people across two locations in Seaford.

As part of its emergency response to the Covid19 outbreak, Tesco committed to support local communities by setting up a fund to support local organisations that support vulnerable groups. Since the pandemic started, the charity has experienced a dramatic increase in spending on cleaning and personal protection equipment.

The grant from the Tesco Bags of Help Covid-19 Community Fund enabled SeeAbility to procure PPE and the deep cleaning products they need to ensure the vulnerable people they support in Seaford continue to be protected from the virus.
