SEAFORD BUSINESS BRINGS GOOD KARMA TO COMMUNITY GROUP

June 2nd, 2020.

A business in Seaford has continued its support to local good causes by donating money to the Havens Community Hub CIC.

Jerry Lyons and Wendy Reed run marketing company The Estate Agent Content Club and donated £200 to the community group which supports projects from Seaford to Saltdean.

The donation was made on behalf of The Karma Club, which is the charitable arm of Jerry and Wendy’s business.

It helps different community projects and groups each month, locally, nationally and globally.

Jerry said: "We know of the work the team at Havens Community Hub do and it's very inspiring. They have stepped up their efforts during the Covid-19 crisis and are providing all sorts of valuable help and support to the communities along our part of the South Coast."

Paula Woolven, Director of the Hub, said: "We are very grateful to Estate agent Content and the Karma Club for their donation, which is enabling us to get 'hands-on' during this crisis. We are re-distributing hundreds of kilos of perishable food by working with FareShare and our Hub volunteers, supporting vulnerable and elderly members of the community and setting up new community transport support schemes to aid the NHS and keep the community moving after the lockdown ends."

Also, in May, the Karma Club donated £240 in partnership with one of its members to Maggie's Cancer Care to provide 8 hours of counselling to people affected by the disease.
