SEAFORD YOUNG MAYOR COMPLETES CHARITY CYCLE CHALLENGE

October 1st, 2020.

Seaford Town Council’s Young Mayor, Chanel Pritchard and Deputy Young Mayor, James Jenkins, took part in a sponsored cycle challenge last Saturday, in aid of Chanel's chosen charity: Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex. This charity is very personal to Chanel who organised the challenge part of the Air Ambulance’s fundraising efforts 30for30 marking its 30th Anniversary.

The 30 for 30 challenge is focused on fundraising events that improve health and well-being, encouraging supporters to get up and get active or take up a challenge that focuses on promoting well-being, like learning a new skill.

Chanel and James, together with some friends and a guardian, cycled the 30 miles from Seaford to Hove and back in gruelling weather conditions.

The Young Mayor has been overwhelmed with support and is proud to announce that so far, over £600 has been raised. All fundraising achieved in Chanel’s year as Young Mayor will be presented to Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex at the end of her term.
