SANTA RETURNS TO THE HAVENS

November 27 2016.

Residents of Newhaven often reminisce about Christmases past when the NPT Rotary Club would bring a jolly Santa round the streets on his sleigh, forming happy childhood memories and raising money for good causes.

Sadly, due to many factors, Santa has not been seen in the streets of Newhaven for over a decade, but CTLA Community Transport is planning to change all that with the 'Return Of The Claus' this December.

Starting small, with just three nights planned, CTLA charity staff and volunteers hope the events will be well received and expand even further for 2017.

Riding in a decorated Community Transport bus, accompanied by Fairytale guests, Santa will be touring the Valley Estate on Monday the 12th, Town to Beach side on Monday  the19th and Denton and South Heighton on Wednesday the 21st of December from 6.oopm to 8.00pm.

Licenced collectors will be knocking on doors during the tour to raise much-needed funds to support the only accessible transport charity of its kind in the District.

Between 8.00pm to 9.00pm on each event, Santa will stop at the CTLA Charity Champion Pub in the area for more fun and games -12th The Jolly Boatman; 19th The Ark and 21st The Flying Fish.
