SEAFORD YOUNG MAYOR'S QUIZ NIGHT SUCCESS

January 26th, 2020.

On Friday the 17th of January the Seaford Young Mayor, James Jenkins, assisted by the Deputy Young Mayor, Chanel Pritchard, hosted a General Knowledge Quiz at The View at Seaford Head. The team entry money, proceeds from the raffle and auction of a day trip to Bruges for two people - kindly donated by Premier Travel - raised a total of £700.

All the proceeds are going towards funding for Water Refill Stations in Seaford, to encourage and support the community in using refillable bottles and reduce single-use plastic.

James Jenkins explained: “Thank you to everyone who contributed towards the fundraising at the quiz night. Everyone was happy and the time went so fast.

"With the amazing turnout, raffle and auction, we were able to raise £700, which is incredible, I hope that my second quiz night on the 13th of March will do just as well."

Local businesses who donated raffle prizes include: VR Flowers and Son; Cloe’s Café; Foam and Fabric; Sedici; Wynnes and Seaford Fencing; Bengal Palace; R & B Fish and Chip Shop; Fonetastic; Gino’s; Tang’s; Redgolds Opticians; Massala Express; Tansley’s Printers; and Premier Travel.

The Young Mayor’s next General Knowledge Quiz Night to raise further funds towards the Water Refill Stations will take place on Friday the 13th of March at The View at Seaford Head, Southdown Road, Seaford.
