FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS FEBRUARY MEETING

February 18th, 2019.

Jim Skinner reports:

The Friends of Tide Mills completed a very productive February meeting yesterday in summer-like weather, which was marvellous and most welcome.

18 members picked up six sacks of rubbish together with a few bulkier items. We also erected our Ringed Plover nesting signs for this season's breeding period. As always, we ask that visitors reduce their disturbance within the signed area as much as possible. We do record some success each year and this reduced disturbance undoubtedly does help these little birds.

In addition to the nesting signs going in, we can also see early signs of emerging vegetated shingle plants at the top of the beach; signs that spring is just around the corner. Fantastic.

The next meeting is on Sunday the 17th of March. More details from me at brianjimskinner@gmail.com or the Friends of Tide Mills website HERE.

Please do come along to our friendly little group, you will be made most welcome.
