HELP GIVE 'WHEELS TO THE WORLD' TO LOCAL CHARITY

April 22nd, 2017.

Charity Fundraiser Paula Woolven, from Telscombe Cliffs, is hoping to win up to £1000 for CTLA Community Transport in a Local Hero campaign run by Localgiving, the online fundraising site.

The person who secures the most £2 unique sponsors by the 30th of April will be awarded £1000 for their charity, with smaller prizes on offer for the top 20 fundraisers in the campaign.

Paula explains: "CTLA is the last remaining Community Transport operator covering the whole of the Havens coastal stretch and Lewes District area. Its vital frontline work enables over 70,000 passenger journeys a year with a small fleet of accessible minibuses. The friendly drivers and staff are described as a lifeline by their service users, and many say they would have no contact with the outside world without the charity. It's essential we help to CTLA to carry on its excellent work."

CTLA Community Transport has just been named as a finalist in the Seahaven Business Awards 2017 - Presidents Award for Best Business in the Community.

This award is for businesses that are non-profits, social enterprises, or for-profit organisations that are having a positive impact and truly making a difference in their community and see social responsibility as an integral part of their success.

The winner will be announced at the awards evening on Friday the 5th of May 2017 at Jerrom Hall in Peacehaven.
