SEAFORD YOUNG MAYOR'S AWARDS OPEN FOR ENTRIES


March 9th, 2017.



Young Mayor Jessica Batchelor and Deputy Young Mayor Thomas Exley will be attending Seaford Town Forum on Tuesday the 23rd of May at The View to present Youth Awards. The awards are open to children under the age of 18, who live in Seaford (Postcode BN25).


Categories will include young performer, young carer, youth group, young volunteer, child of courage.

Young Performer
A young person that has made an outstanding contribution to the Arts. It can be in the form of theatre, Dance, Music, Literary, Art, either being ‘front of house’ or behind the scenes.

Young Carer
A young person that has willingly taken on the role of carer for a parent, sibling or any family member, doing extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning or helping someone to get dressed and move around and being a huge support to the family.

Young Community Champion
A young person that has given their time willingly to help within their community or has organised/ taken part in events to raise money for charity

Child of Courage
A young person that has shown exceptional bravery and courage when either themselves or a close family member have been faced with serious illness or disability.

All nominations must be received by 31st March 2017.
