Newhaven Bowling Club is running its free #letsplaybowls try-out sessions from Saturday the 29th of May through to the end of the season in September. 

The club aims to encourage locals to get out into the open air, keep fit doing a low impact sport, use their skills, get social and make new friends. Working adults can enjoy the long summer evenings, share a drink, play the game and socialise. Everyone joins in at weekends to come together to play friendlies, have a 'roll-up' or compete in a local derby with neighbouring teams.

The Bowls Big Weekend, organised by Bowls England, stops off at Newhaven for the next Bank Holiday weekend and the club is open all day on the 29th of May from 10.00am. Experienced club members will be on hand at the sessions to help all ages and all abilities from beginners to experienced players.

To help follow current COVID guidelines and to allow for the weather on the day, the club asks anyone who is interested in joining or taking part to register your interest ahead of the day by email to nbowlscsocialmedia@gmail.com. Bring flat shoes but all other equipment is provided.

The club can be found in Fort Road, near to the cricket and football grounds at the bottom of Court Farm Road.
