Newhaven Liberal Democrats have welcomed the announcement of the start date for the new play park in Denton, with work due to commence next month. 

The playground will be closed for October half term.

Cllr Lindsey Macleod said: "Liberal Democrat Councillors promised to deliver a state-of-the-art park for Denton during our election campaign and we are delighted to be able to see this through. This park is going to deliver so much joy for the local children, and we look forward to the opening day and having a celebration with our community. This is why we became Councillors as we want to deliver for our area."

Cllr Corina Watts added: “We will have delivered an inclusive playground for all children in our community. This will have wheelchair accessible equipment and sensory play equipment so help make it a facility for everyone. It is amazing what we will be able to deliver in such a small area."
