HEAR THE VOICES OF SEAHAVEN POETS

May 14th, 2019.

The beautiful and atmospheric medieval undercroft at the Crypt Gallery, Seaford, will be the setting for a poetry open mic event this Saturday, the 18th of May at 7.00pm, with special guest poets Keith and Suzanne Drake. The event is open to all who enjoy poetry, with sign-up at the door for those who wish to read their poems.

The open mic is organised by Seaford poet Christopher Goode with Newhaven poet Richard Hume on behalf of Seahaven Poets.

Christopher Goode commented: “This is for anyone with an interest in poetry. It’s a chance to meet others with similar interests in a friendly and informal setting, while also enjoying the Crypt’s stunning historic atmosphere. All poets who would like to do so can sign up for a five minute slot, or to read just one poem. We welcome all, from beginners to professional poets.”

The Crypt Gallery with its flint gallery, atmospheric undercroft and front room is a unique arts space available for hire, situated in the centre of Seaford. The atmospheric medieval undercroft with excellent acoustics surrounds a contemporary flint gallery where national, international and local artists and makers are on display all year round.
