FUN AND GAMES AT SEAFORD

August 17th, 2019.

Seaford’s promenade now has a colourful Rainbow Pad, located close to Frankie’s Beach Café. The Rainbow Pad is an exercise and play space for children and adults, situated on what was once the top of some steps leading down to the beach. It was the brainchild of local resident and musician Chris Conil, who was also responsible for most of the planning and creation of the space.

The Pad was officially opened last month by Seaford  Mayor, Councillor Nazish Adil, who entered into the spirit of the event by practicing her hopscotch skills. Chris also brought his band along to liven up the proceedings.

Seaford Town Council worked with the Seaford Gateway Group on this project to further enhance the seafront in line with the Seafront Development Plan.

The Gateway Group is a committee of Seaford residents who aim to enrich the seafront for the benefit of local people and visitors. Allied with the Seaford Community Partnership and with the help and support of Seaford Town council, this group has so far delivered The Shoal, the Outdoor Gym and the Beach Garden.
