FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS NOVEMBER MEETING

November 18th, 2019.

Jim Skinner reports:

Friends of Tide Mills completed its November meeting yestersay in the most pleasant of Autumn weather, especially given the dreadful wet weather of the last few weeks.

Fifteen of us collected just six bags of rubbish, two sacks of recyclables and some bulkier items this time. All in all Tide Mills, (with the unfortunate exception of the Port Access Road construction site), remains in good shape for the coming winter.

In terms of the Port Access Road, three of the 9.50 metre long, bridge spans have now been delivered successfully to the site, having travelled by road from Doncaster- quite a logistical feat it has to be said. Three more deliveries are due to be made during December as far as is known.

Our next meeting is Sunday the 15th of December, (always the third Sunday of the month). We will be participating in our annual Christmas Picnic after this meeting, to which all current and past members are invited.

Please do consider coming along to help us in our efforts to keep Tide Mills cared for. You will be made most welcome.
