FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS JULY MEETING

July 22nd, 2019.

Jim Skinner reports:

The Friends of Tide Mills completed their July meeting and clean-up yesterday in very pleasant summer weather. 23 of us managed to collect just four sacks of assorted rubbish and one sack of recyclables.

There is no doubt that Tide Mills remains in good heart and mercifully largely litter free. As always we do appreciate everyone's effort in helping keep Tide Mills in such good condition.

Our Ringed Plover signs are due for recovery at our next meeting in August and we are very happy to report another successful breeding season for these special little birds again this year. Many thanks to those visitors who take extra care in the area of our signs.

After our meeting we enjoyed our annual summer picnic where, as usual, there was more than enough food for all.

If you appreciate Tide Mills as this precious open space on our doorstep, please do come along to one of our monthly meetings (always the third Sunday of the month) where you will be made most welcome, no matter how much time you can spare.

Our August meeting is taking place on Sunday the 18th of August, between 10.00am and 12 noon.
