FRIENDS OF TIDE MILLS JANUARY MEETING AND CLEAR-UP

January 16th, 2017.

Jim Skinner reports:

Friends of Tide Mills completed their first meeting of 2017 yesterday, when, in not very kind weather, ten of us collected ten sacks of rubbish. As normal, most of this was blown in from the sea.

Generally, the whole area is in very good order, so let us hope we can keep it that way into the spring.

We know that many people help in this work, just casually and without fuss. We appreciate the effort that is undoubtedly put in. Fantastic, and very heartening.

The first sign of emerging vegetated shingle plants is now evident, and our next meeting, on Sunday the 19th of February, will confirm that Spring will soon follow when we will be re-installing the bird nesting warning signs for the forthcoming breeding season. Enough to lift everybody's spirits!

We meet from 10.00am - 12 noon on every third Sunday of the month.

We always welcome new members to our friendly little band, no matter how much time can be spared. The more we are the easier it is to ensure Tide Mills stays cared for and how we all like to see it.
