In a County Council Cabinet Meeting on the 27th of June, Councillors agreed that action must be taken to replace the single-lane bridge at Exceat. This follows on from the Autumn Statement when the Chancellor allocated £2.13m to East Sussex for transport improvements.

These funds will be added to £500,000 of County funds that were going to be used to improve the single-lane bridge across the Cuckmere and will be used to replace the single-lane bridge with a new two-lane bridge.

The government funds need to be spent within the 2017/2018 financial year. Sp the question is... Can it be done in the time...?
