The Newhaven and Seaford Sea Cadets (TS Defiance) waiting list is officially open, inviting young people across the region to sign up for the "best adventure and activities" in the area.

A highly successful unit based in Newhaven, the group is known for offering a wide variety of both land and water-based opportunities that go far beyond standard after-school clubs. The Cadets provide a unique platform for young people to gain valuable, recognised qualifications in subjects including Mechanical Engineering, First Aid, and BTECs.

For those drawn to the water, the unit offers RYA qualifications in both sailing and powerboating, alongside training in rowing and kayaking. The unit also maintains an active competitive schedule, with cadets participating in sailing, football, drill, and first aid competitions.

The unit is currently accepting new entrants between the ages of 10 and 18. Parades are held every Monday and Thursday evening from 6:45 pm through to 9:00 pm at Meeching Hall on Fort Road in Newhaven - BN9 9QQ.
