DENTON COMMUNITY CHALLENGE

June 5th, 2018.

This year’s Denton Community Challenge is called WHO WILL WIN? It takes place this Saturday, the 9th of June, at Avis Road Recreation Ground in Denton, running from 1.00pm through to 5.00pm.

Local sporting groups and charities are taking part, providing challenges for everyone to enjoy and the main arena will feature local clubs providing displays and entertainments.

As well as an opportunity for fundraising, Denton Community Challenge provides a fun and inclusive day for families to enjoy the many sporting activities that are available in our area.

In the arena, the opening ceremony will be undertaken by local VIPs supported by the Denton School Choir. Displays throughout the afternoon will include maypole dancing, martial arts, table tennis, earthquake drummers and the ever-popular Tug-of-War.

There will be all the usual fete attractions including a wide variety of stalls, bouncy castle and a licenced bar, plus a BBQ kindly provided by the local 2nd Denton & South Heighton Scouts. The Grand Raffle will be drawn later in the afternoon.
