May 30th, 2019.

CTLA Community Transport will be celebrating the difference supporters and volunteers make to the organisation and thanking them for all their time and dedication during 2019 Volunteers’ Week, which runs from the 1st to the 7th of June.

Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex, Juliet Smith JP, will be present at a celebration lunch at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhavenon Wednesday the 5th of June to thank volunteers and celebrate the power of volunteering. Juliet recently attended a lunch with Camilla, HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, where raising the awareness of loneliness in Sussex and the charities that are working hard to eliminate isolation was discussed.

The event is being supported by the Havens Community Hub, a new community interest company created to increase local volunteering opportunities, support other non-profit organisations and to work in partnership to create new projects, benefitting the Havens area.

Volunteers’ Week is a nationwide week to celebrate the work of millions of volunteers who give up their time to help others.

This campaign was established in 1984 by Volunteering England which has since merged with NCVO, now the lead for the national campaign.
